Zone-V Whites in U-15 semis

KARACHI, July 20: Fahad Younis cracked an enterprising 75 as Zone-V Whites moved into the semi-finals of the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-15 cricket tournament with an exciting two-wicket win over Zone-IV Whites at Landhi Gymkhana Ground on Wednesday.

Third successive victory put Zone-V Whites on the top of ladder in Group ‘C’.

Off-spinner Mohammad Wasim grabbed four for 48 as Zone-IV Whites were dismissed for 167 in 49 overs. Mohammad Wasif made 52 with five fours.

Zone-V Whites reached their target for the loss of eight wickets in the 46th over. Fahad’s knock included eight boundaries.

Left arm spinner Fawwad Khan took five for 29 to bowl Zone-VI Whites to an eight-wicket victory over Zone-II Blues at TMC Ground.

In another match Zone-III Blues beat Zone-I Blues by six wickets at Student Ground with Adeel Hussain making an unbeaten 44.

Zone-III Blues beat Zone-I Blues by six wickets.
