QUETTA, July 20: Three women alleged on Thursday that their brother had been picked up by intelligence agency personnel on June 27, and they had no information about him.

Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, Shah Bibi Baloch, Fareedia Bibi and Lal Bibi Baloch alleged that their brother Mir Abdul Ghaffar Lango had been taken away by men of an intelligence agency from near Mastung on June 27.

They said that law-enforcement agencies had neither taken Mr Lango to a court nor informed them about his whereabouts.

They said Frontier Corps personnel had recently conducted a four-hour search near Mr Lango’s tubewells but did not find anything objectionable.

They said that if their brother had committed any crime he should be tried in a court.

They said they feared that Mr Lango might be implicated in a false case to justify his illegal detention.

They appealed to the Balochistan High Court, political parties and human rights organisations to take notice of the situation.
