KARACHI, July 20: The annual convocation of the University of Karachi for regular students (morning and evening) programmes will be held in the first week of September at the varsity campus.

According to a KU notification issued here on Thursday, the desiring candidates who passed their bachelors (honors), BS, BPharmacy, masters and MPharm in 2005 under morning programme and 2004-05 under the evening program would be conferred degrees on the occasion.

It said those who obtained their MS/MD/MPhil/PhD/DLitt./ DSc in 2005 and onwards would also be conferred degrees adding medals and merit certificates shall also be awarded to the position holders of various departments in varsity examinations.

The notification further advised students, who have yet not received their degrees, to apply for registration to the annual convocation on prescribed application form that could be downloaded from the varsity's web site: www.ku.edu.pk.

The forms could also be obtained from the convocation camp office, Silver Jubilee Gate No 1 of the KU from July 24.

The forms along with prescribed registration and degree forms could be deposited at the banks at the Silver Jubilee Gate after endorsement by the camp office during 10am to 1pm till August 5.

It is notified that no candidate would be allowed to enter the convocation site without wearing the prescribed academic costume/robe.—PPI
