LAHORE, Feb 9: The PIA will introduce a new reservation system within next three to six months to redress public complaints.

Talking to newsmen here on Saturday, PIA Managing Director Ahmed Saeed Chaudhry said the system would eliminate chances of malpractice and also help in increasing earnings of the company.

To a question, he said that PIA had removed 12 of its senior employees under its downsizing policy.

He said that most of the air-hostesses and other crew had been recruited by the previous managements against merit and a suitability board had been constituted to grade their working to give them assignments accordingly.

He said that the staff which could not improve itself after training would have to leave the job.

The MD said as the airline had controlled various financial leakages, it would earn an amount of Rs 600 million in February and March.—APP
