ISLAMABAD, July 12: The Export Development Fund (EDF) Board of Administrators on Wednesday approved Rs345 million for different ongoing schemes relating to the promotion of exports.
The board meeting, headed by Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan, also reviewed progress of the ongoing schemes financed through funds from the EDF.
An official announcement said the board also considered a proposal for carrying out sectoral studies to find out impediments and suggest remedies to the government. These studies will be financed through the EDF.
The participants of the meeting included the EPB chairman, secretary of the ministry of textile industry, EPB vice-chairman, additional secretary of the ministry of commerce, president of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and representatives of prominent trade associations.
