Record entry for Arab League

CAIRO, July 6: A record 32 clubs will participate in the Arab Champions League this season, organisers said on Wednesday.

The draw for the fourth edition of the annual event, which draws entries from 20 countries in North Africa and the Middle East, will be made in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on July 21.

The tournament starts with a knockout round in September.

Raja Casablanca of Morocco won the last tournament in May with victory over Egypt's ENPPI in the two-legged final.—Reuters
