ISLAMABAD: Islamabad International Airport has successfully concluded Pre-Haj Operations 2026 in a smooth, safe, efficient, and well-coordinated manner, facilitating a record number of 45,160 pilgrims during the current Haj season.
A spokesman for the Pakistan Airports Authority said on Friday that a total of 284 Haj flights were operated, through which 45,160 pilgrims departed for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This marks the highest number of Haj pilgrims facilitated through Islamabad International Airport to date.
Under the Government Haj Scheme and the Route-to-Makkah initiative, 142 flights transported 37,072 pilgrims, while another 142 flights under the Private Haj Scheme facilitated the departure of 8,088 pilgrims.
