TANK, June 30: A tribesman and his son were killed, while a woman and another man suffered injuries when gunmen opened fire on a car near Sheikh Ziarat in the Spinkai Raghzai area of the South Waziristan Agency on Friday, officials and witnesses said.
Lala Khan Gurrikhel Mahsud, his son Amanullah, Hazrat Gul and a woman were going in a car from Spinkai Raghzai to their village Imar Raghzai.
When they were near Sheikh Ziarat, some gunmen stopped them and opened fire killing Mr Khan on the spot and injuring his son Amanullah, Mr Gul and the woman.
They were taken to district headquarters hospital in Dera Ismail Khan, where Amanullah died.
