Pensioner seeks CM’s help

SAHIWAL, June 28: A former police inspector, allowed the pension rights by the Supreme Court, has sought the help of chief minister to finalise his case. Inspector (legal) Fida Husain Kazmi was removed from the service by the orders of the Multan Range DIG. He moved the Supreme Court against the DIG’s order. A division bench admitted his appeal on November 29, 2003 and allowed him the pension rights with effect from October 12, 2000.

His case was sent to the local District Accounts Office which delayed the process on his case because he did not grease the palm of the officials concerned. In the process, Fida lost his eyesight.

He sent an appeal to the chief minister who ordered stern action against the DAO Chaudhry Ashraf and finalization of the pension case without further delay.

They have been identified as ‘drug-addict’ Ghulam Nabi in Chak 145/EB, Raheela of Tariq bin Ziad Colony, Majeedan of Grain Market and Safia Bibi of Kauray Shah.

According to the DHQ hospital sources, they were admitted unconscious on Tuesday.

They confirmed that six heat-stroke patients were still admitted to the hospital.
