KARACHI, June 28: Shipping activity remained active at the port where two ships carrying containers and 50,075 tons diesel oil were accommodated on berths at QICT, and Fotco oil terminal, respectively, during the last 24 hours, says a press release.

Meanwhile two more ships with containers and wheat arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy remained at 78 per cent on Tuesday as a total of seven ships occupied berths to load/unload containers, carbon oil, diesel, chemicals, yellow peas and canola seeds during the same period.

A record cargo handling was achieved at the port where a cargo volume of 0.110 million tons, comprising 0.076 million tons imports and 0.034 million tons exports, including 3,055 containers was handled.

Three ships sailed out to the sea during the same period.
