QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has intensified its crackdown against the illegal trade of petroleum products, launching a complete inspection of stock and records at fuel depots in Quetta, officials said on Friday.

Special FIA teams are verifying petroleum stock by matching it with registers and official documents, while also thoroughly examining stock registers and other records. Officials said the move is part of strict measures underway against illegal hoarding and smuggling.

The FIA made it clear that the black marketing of petroleum products “will not be tolerated under any circumstances” and that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in violations.

Officials said the inspections will continue to ensure transparency in the supply chain. The public has also been urged to immediately report any suspicious activity.
