KARACHI, June 23: Six ships carrying crude oil, containers and to load fish are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where nine ships were berthed. They are: Kota Wangsa, Orchid Bay, Sun Lavender, Banglar Kallol, Shalamar, Kng Yu, Mac Aandersev Swala, Antanos Breeze and Calvin P Titus, to unload oil, fertiliser and load containers and general cargo.

Sailing was also active as about a dozen ships departed including Iran Tabatabei, Oel Aishwarya, Y.M.Fortune, Inaba, Kota Wangsa, Warbah, Maria-T.L, Swat, Multan and Sun Lavender, while Cheng kang, MOL Kauri, Kang Yu, Shalamar, and Antarios Breeze are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side at 90,320 tons, comprising 22,647 tons of export cargo and 67,673 tons of import cargo including 3,205 tons of sugar.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Johar, with crude oil, Corin Thaikos, Hanjin Busan, Maersk Alabama, Iran Kordestan, with containers and Maru to load 300 tons of fish.
