KARACHI, June 20: Seven ships carrying containers and to load rice and naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where only three ships, Thor Captain, Iran Baabaei, to unload and load containers and Carolina to offload sugar were berthed.
Sailing was active for the second day in a row as 10 vessels departed. They were: Tai He, Global Prosperity, MOL Asante, Kota Jasa, D.D.Master, Bao Heng, Galaxy Leader, Lalazar, Bolan and Al-Rabab while Batu, B.India, Iran Baabaei and Liberty Eagle are due to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest falling to 53,138 tons comprising 9,445 tons of export cargo including 3,879 tons of cement and 43,693 tons of import tonnage.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Kota Tampan, Hyundai Sprinter Y.M. Fortune and Inaba, with containers, Orchid Bay, with 21,019 tons of DAP fertiliser, San Nicholas, to load 19,000 tons of rice and Sutra Tiga, to load naphtha.
