KARACHI, June 8: Zahoor GBSS and New Oxford School stormed into the semifinals of the PCB Inter school Karachi region cricket tournament after contrasting victories on Wednesday.

Irfan Lodhi hits 82 and Mannan Aftab made 63 as Zahoor GBSS thrashed GBSS Lyari No 2 by 120 runs.

At TMC Ground, Tariq Hussain smashed 59 and Asif Khan 57 to steer New Oxford School to a three-wicket victory over Daffodils School.

Meanwhile, F.F. Public School and New Standard School moved into the last-eight stage of the championship.

F.F. Public School registered an exciting nine run success over Pak Folks School.

Shaharyar Zafar's all round performance helped APWA GBSS defeat Rab Nawaz School by two wickets. Shaharyar took three for 21 and scored 47.

New Standard School beat Niazi Star School by 111 runs.

Apwa GBSS beat Rab Nawaz School by two wickets.
