KARACHI, June 8: The city government on Karachi Thursday clarified a news item published in a section of press regarding the sacking of two revenue officials by the City Nazim, Mustafa Kamal, for illegally allotting land owned by a villager to an influential officer.
A city government spokesman in a statement said the name of the villager had been published mistakenly as Aijaz Solangi while his actual name is Zaru Baba. The city nazim had on the complaint of Zaru Baba got him possession of his land, he clarified.
Meanwhile, the city government on the directive of the city nazim issued the suspension order of Keamari Town’s Mukhtiarkar, Sattar Hakro, and its Tapedar, Aijaz Solangi, who were found involved in illegally allotting 16 acres of land of the said villager to an influential officer.—PPI
