Cell to record gastro victims

DERA GHAZI KHAN, June 6: The district government has established a cell to prepare the record of deaths caused by gastroenteritis. DCO Pervaiz Khusrao has set up the cell on the directions of District Nazim Maqsood Khan Leghari and got a list of nine people who died of the disease in union council no 4 last week.

Reports said UC Nazim Habib Leghari claimed that nine people had died of gastroenteritis in his union council No 4. The DHQ hospital authorities claimed that only one death took place at the hospital while the rest of the people had not been brought to the hospital.

District revenue officer Mehmood Javed Bhatti has been appointed as inquiry officer who would probe the cause of deaths in UC-4. — Correspondent
