QUETTA, June 2: Police have seized a large quantity of arms from a house on the outskirts of the city and arrested a man who allegedly smuggled the weapons from Afghanistan, a senior official said on Friday.
The police chief in Quetta, Salman Syed, identified the man as Mohammad Azam and said the arms were recovered in a raid on his house late Thursday.
He said the man had been selling arms to tribal militants involved in attacks on security forces and government installations in recent months.—AFP
