SUKKUR, June 2: The Sukkur circuit bench of the Sindh High Court on Friday ordered formation of a three-member inquiry committee to probe into the kidnapping of two additional judges.

The two judges were kidnapped by armed men last year.

The division bench comprising Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani and Justice Ameer Hani Muslim issued the orders after hearing a constitutional petition of two additional session judges Abdul Wahab Abbasi and Farooq Ahmed Channa.

The court said that the committee should comprise of police officers A. D. Khawaja, Abdul Khaliq Shaikh and Ghulam Nabi Memon.

The court said that the committee should also look into the role played by police for the release of hostages and submit its report to the court in two months.

Former Shikarpur DPO (investigation) Mehtab Shaikh, SHOs of 10 police stations and the petitioner Abdul Wahab Abbasi were present in the court.

The court ordered to quash the FIR registered by the father of girl.

The bench comprising Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani and Justice Ameer Hani Muslim issued the orders on Friday, on a petition filed by Yasmin Nangraj and her husband Mehar Ali of Kandiaro through their lawyer Shabbir Dayo.

In her statement, Yasmin said that she married Mehar Ali of her own free will and no one had kidnapped her.

The bench dismissed the case registered by Mohammad Ayub Nangraj, father of Yasmin Nangraj.
