LAHORE, May 28: Army, Balochistan, and Punjab reached Under-21 national football championship quarterfinals on Sunday. Adnan Bari slammed a hat trick to help Army crush Hades Club 11-0. Adnan struck in the 6th, 8th and 85th minutes to complete his treble.

Abid Ali (33th, 40th minute), Sohail (80th and 82nd minute), Jaffar Ali (55th minute), Saleem (68th minute), Fahim Riaz (70th minute) and Fayyaz (88th minute) were other scorers.

Two-goal Abdul Qayyum gave Balochistan a 5-1 victory over Dera Eleven.

Qayyum drew first blood in the 17th minute. But Abdullah restored parity for the losers in the 34th minute. Waqas Ahmad extended the lead for winners in 39th minute.

Noor Ahmad found the cage in the 54th minute to make it 3-1. Qayyum slotted home in the 63rd minute for his second, while Salman Khan sealed the fate with a 76th-minute strike.

Punjab defeated Mauripur Baloch 3-0.

They opened scoring through Saeed in the 38th minute while Muzammil doubled the lead a minute later.

Ouon Shaw completed the scoring in the 67th minute.

In other matches, three-goal Jibran propelled POF Wah to a 5-0 win over Wohaib Club.

Jibran scored in the 34th, 72nd and 84th minutes. Waqar Ali (70th minute), Abid Ali (75th minute) were the other scorers.

A match-winner by Shakil Shah in the 73rd minute helped Mardan Club edge past Islamabad 1-0.

An 89th minute goal by Hassan Ali helped City Club beat Navy 2-1.

Navy went 1-0 up when Naeem Ullah found the target in the 14th minute.

Hashim restored parity in the 29th minute before Hasan struck in the second half.

Sindh got walk over against Gwadar Port Authority.
