PESHAWAR, May 24: Muslim Stars defeated Nowshera Blues 3-1 on Wednesday to advance to next round of the 3rd Shama football cup at Younis Stadium in Mardan.

Nowshera Blues took the lead when centre-forward Akhtar Hussain scored in the 10th minute of the match.

Shahjehan struck two back to back goals to give Muslim Stars 2-1 lead.

Sher Khan completed the tally in the 69th minute of the match.—APP
