KARACHI, May 24: Pakistan Table Tennis Federation named on Wednesday nine-member Pakistan boys and girls squad to participate in South Asian Federation table tennis championship scheduled to be held in Kolkata, India, from June 21.

Pakistan will feature in boys’ under-15 and 18 categories and girls’ under-18 events.

Eight countries – Afghanistan, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Maldives — are taking part in the championship.

Players:

Under-18 boys: Abdul Rahim (Punjab), Mohammad Faheem (Punjab), Mohammad Muzammil (Sindh).

Under-15 boys: Salman Tahir Virk (Punjab), Mohammad Usman Ahmed (Sindh), Shaikh Waqas Ayub (Islamabad).

Under-19 girls: Ghalia Khursheed, Ayesha Khan, Mobin Hanif (all from Sindh).

Arif Khan is coach while Abdul Sami Khan will be manager of the team.—APP
