KARACHI, May 24: The police inspector, who was admitted to the Civil Hospital on Tuesday, was set on fire for polygamy allegedly by his brother-in-law.

This was disclosed by the police on Wednesday stating that Inspector Ashfaq Memon had already four wives and he was planning for a fifth marriage. The brother of his second wife, Hamid, allegedly set him on fire after learning about his intentions. Police said that the suspect was still absconding.

According to the Inquiry Officer Inspector Jan Ahmed, Inspector Ashfaq Memon was posted in Zone-III of the investigation wing.—Staff Reporter
