KARACHI, May 20: Pakistani boys and girls will feature in South Asian Federation (SAF) table tennis championship schedule to be held at Kolkata (India) from June 21 to 25, a spokesman of Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) said on Saturday.

He said under-15 and under-18 events for boys and under-18 girls events will be held during the championship.

Players from Afghanistan, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives would be taking part in the five-day competition.

Two top nations from the SAF contest will earn the right to play in Asian junior table tennis championship schedule to be held in Japan in July this year.

In the meantime, selection trials to pick Pakistan team for the SAF championship started at Islamabad Sports Complex.

Three boys each in under-15 and under-18 and three girls in under-18 contest will be picked after trials.—APP
