Hafeez excels

KARACHI, May 20: A good all-round performance by Hafeezuddin guided Jinnah Medical and Dental College (JMDC) to a five-wicket win over Ziauddin Medical College (ZMC) in the 5th AKU All-Karachi Medical College cricket tournament on Friday.

Hafeezuddin bowled a tidy opening spell (one for 25 in five overs) and hit 40, including two sixes and as many fours.

But the Man-of-the-Match award went to Sabihul Hasan who struck five boundaries in an unbeaten 35.

ZMU 176-9 in 25 overs (Sajjad Naqvi 46, Pir Shiraz 42 not out, Mohammad Siddique 37; Amanullah 2-16);

JMDC 178-5 in 24 overs (Hafeezuddin 40, Sabihuddin 35 not out, Sohaib Rana 28; Kashif Raza 2-34).
