CHITRAL: Commandant of the Chitral Scouts Colonel Bilal Javed has said that besides training, youths should also be protected from the onslaught of negative propaganda on social media by the country’s enemies.

Addressing the closing ceremony for a five-day training workshop on ‘Art of parenting’ here, he said that Pakistan could become a great nation only by training and developing children along modern lines. Colonel Javed said children were the future and valuable assets of the nation, so the most attention needed to be paid to them.

He appreciated the efforts of the institutions in providing training to teachers and lady health visitors on the important topic and urged trainees to convey the information received to parents across the district.

The commandant later distributed certificates to participants.

The trainees, including Bibi Gul, Nabila Athar, Naveed Iqbal, Jalaluddin Shamil, Sultan Mohammad and others, highlighted the effectiveness of the manual prepared for the training of children of Aghosh (for children from zero to eight years) and of Parwarish (9-18 years) during the training programme and declared the manual very useful.
