KARACHI: The Karachi Bar Association (KBA) has said that it intends to challenge the apex court order on the transfer of three judges from provincial high courts to the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The KBA also lauded Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Shakeel Ahmed of the Supreme Court for disagreeing with the majority view and said that they stood on the right side of history and recognised judicial independence.

A statement issued by the general secretary KBA Ghulam Rehman Korai alleged that the majority of the judges had shied away from their constitutional duties to conclusively adjudicate important cases.
