NAROWAL: Two children drowned while bathing in a swimming pool in Sialkot on Sunday.

Muhammad Imran, a resident of Nikapura, told the police that his son Hassan (10) and nephew Hanan (8), along with local resident Ali Rashid, went to take a bath in a swimming pool. Hassan and Hanan went into the deep water and started drowning while Ali Rashid, swimming pool owner Ahmed Gondal and three employees were busy in their mobile phones outside the pool. When they were brought out of the water, both the children had died. Gondal fled with CCTV footage.

Saddar Sialkot police registered an FIR against Ali Rashid, Gondal and three unidentified persons.

DPO Faisal Shahzad constituted a team headed by Saddar police SHO for the arrest of the suspects.
