LAHORE: The Punjab government will register unregistered restaurants and wedding halls.

“All unregistered restaurants and wedding halls across the province will be registered,” Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said while presiding over a meeting here on Monday.

She directed the authorities concerned to take immediate steps to ensure the registration of both small and large restaurants and banquet halls operating throughout Punjab. The chief minister while chairing the meeting approved the decision for the registration of all restaurants and marriage halls across Punjab. The CM rejected all proposals to enhance taxes. She directed the relevant institutions to expand the tax net instead of merely increasing the tax rate.
