GUJAR KHAN: Two young men and their father were shot dead over an old enmity in Darkali Syedan village of Jatli early on Monday.

According to the FIR lodged by Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, his father Mushtaq Hussain Shah and other family members had woken up to milk buffalos in their house when Aziza Bibi, widow of Aftab Shah (deceased), living in a neighbouring house, scaled the boundary wall and barged into the premises followed by Amir Hussain Shah, Muzahir Ali Shah, Zeeshan Hussain Shah alias Shani and Irfan alias Haideri.

Amir Hussain shouted that they all should be killed to avenge the murder of Aftab Hussain Shah. Muzahir Hussain Shah allegedly targeted Imran Shah with a Kalashnikov, Zeeshan shot at Mushtaq Hussain Shah and Irfan Shah allegedly opened fire at Rizwan Shah.

According to the FIR, nearby residents reached the scene and shifted critically injured Mushtaq Hussain and his sons Imran and Rizwan to a Rawalpindi hospital. However, they succumbed to the bullet injuries.

In the FIR, the complainant nominated Amir Hussain Shah and Muzahir Ali Shah, residents of Kot Syedan; Zeeshan Hussain alias Shani Shah, of Dhoke Awan; Aziza Bibi, widow of Aftab Hussain Shah, Nawab Shah and Tahir Shah. ASP Danial Hassan said teams had been dispatched for the arrest of the killers. According to police sources, the victims had an alleged role in the murder of Aftab Hussain Shah, an advocate, who was recently killed in the jurisdiction of the Saddar Bairooni police station.
