MARDAN: Three persons including a man and his two sons were gunned down over a land dispute in Garyala locality in the limits of Shahbazgari police station here on Thursday.

The officials of Shahbazgari police station said that the slain persons were identified as Ibad Khan, 60, his sons Sheraz, 24, and Ali, 21.

As per preliminary investigations, the officials said that the deceased persons were working in their agricultural fields when their rivals armed with automatic weapons opened indiscriminate fire killing them on the spot.

The alleged killers, who were identified as three brothers Kosar, Zawar and Rehmat, fled the spot after committing the triple murder. The police have lodged an FIR on the complaint of Farukh Siyar, sister of the victim, Ibad Khan, against the alleged killers.

The police officials said that further investigations were under way.
