INDIA’S unprovoked aggression against Pakistan cannot be justified. In response, the Pakistani military has been entrusted with full authority to deliver a decisive and appropriate retaliation. One potential target could be India’s Farakka Dam.

If Pakistan were to strike and destroy it with missiles, the consequences would extend far beyond India’s borders. In Bangladesh, such an action might spark widespread celebration, with chants of Pakistan Zindabad ringing through the streets.

There is a good chance that even in some Bengali-speaking regions within India, where people suffer from the dam’s environmental fallout, the reaction may be quietly supportive of Pakistan.

The Farakka Dam has reduced river flow, increased soil salinity, and caused lasting ecological damage in the region. These realities raise the intriguing question: will the Pakistan Army ever consider targeting the Farakka Dam?
