GWADAR: Demonstrators in Gwadar and Pasni held rallies on Monday, protesting India’s water aggression, New Delhi’s accusations of Pakistan’s involvement in Pahalgam attack and atrocities by Indian forces in held Kashmir.
In Gwadar, large numbers of people, including students, representatives of religious and political parties, civil society activists, and government officials, gathered at Javed Chowk. They walked along various roads carrying placards and banners inscribed with anti-Indian government slogans.
During the demonstration, participants chanted slogans against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and what they termed “extremist Hindu leaders.” The walk concluded at Marian Drive.
Speakers at the Gwadar rally, including Assistant Commissioner Mir Jawad Ahmed Zehri, President Civil Society Muhammad Jan Baloch, and political representative Saeed Ahmed, “strongly condemned the Indian government false allegations against Pakistan after Pahalgam incident.”
They asserted that “despite passage of over two weeks, the Indian government failed to present any evidence about Pakistan’s involvement in Pahalgam killings.”
In Pasni, a separate peaceful protest rally also drew large crowds from different walks of life, including workers of religious and political parties. The rally marched through the streets of the coastal town. Assistant Commissioner Pasni Mohim Khan Gichki and others led this demonstration.
An effigy of Indian Prime Minister Modi was burned at the end of the Pasni rally, where participants chanted slogans against the Indian government and its leadership.
