KARACHI: Bodies of two women were found in different parts of the city on Tuesday.

Police said that a married woman, identified Sapna Anees, 26, was found shot dead within the remit of the Awami Colony police station.

Area SHO Abdul Sattar Magsi said that she was married and originally hailed from Naushahro Feroze.

Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed said the victim was shot in the head.

The police said they were searching for her relatives.

Meanwhile, body of another woman was found in a flat near Esa Nagri on Tuesday.

The Aziz Bhatti police said that the woman was identified as Afshan, 62, who had been living alone in the flat after the death of her mother five years ago.

They said that a neighbour had informed Madadgar-15 that a foul smell was emanating from the apartment. The police reached the spot and saw that a partially decomposed body was lying there.
