PEKING: CambodianPrince Norodom Sihanouk today [April 21] accused the C.I.A. of running a clandestine radio station putting out false reports of alleged Khmer Rouge barbarism. Certain news agencies and newspapers were using as a news source “a radio station passing itself off falsely as a station belonging to the Khmer Rouge and which, in reality, belongs to American C.I.A,” the Prince said in a statement. … The station, he added, was “situated in one of Cambodia’s neighbouring countries”. — News agencies

[Meanwhile, as reported by news agencies from Rawalpindi,] Pakistan Government is approaching the Iranian Government to initiate Iran-Pakistan Joint Award for higher research on Iqbal’s life, works and philosophy. This was stated by Maulana Kausar Niazi, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, while speaking at a function held to celebrate Iqbal Day at Khana-i-Farhang-i-Iran... . … Maulana Kausar Niazi delivered his speech in Persian and said the present century was the century of Iqbal. … He regretted that the previous Governments had not given due importance to the message of Allama Iqbal and the present Government attached greater importance to Iqbal’s poetry.
