ISLAMABAD: Gunmen murdered a man and injured another outside the capital’s lower court apparently over an old enmity.

The incident took place outside the District and Sessions Courts at G-11, located at a distance of half a kilometers away from Chief Commissioner Complex, G-11.

The two persons Shahbaz and Nasir were on bail in connection with a murder case registered against them at Kirpa police station in September 2022. Both appeared in the court of additional sessions judge in connection with the murder case. After the court hearing they came outside, they were ambushed by three riders of a motorcycle.

As a result both sustained multiple bullet injuries, and the attackers managed to escape from the spot. After getting the information the police reached the spot and shifted the injured to hospital.

One of the injured identified as Shahbaz were pronounced dead at the hospital while the condition of Nasir was critical.

Separate cases were registered against both the groups at Koral and Kirpa police stations. Abdul Hameed was murdered from Shahbaz’s side, while Mohammad Javid was killed today.
