ISLAMABAD, April 28: Explosives Factory won the team event final of the POF Open badminton on Friday defeating Artillery Ammunition (AA) 3-2.

Team event final: Explosives bt AA 3-2 (Hassan bt Rana Liaquat 15-10, 12-15, 15-4; Mudassar bt Naeem 15-13, 15-10; Hassan-Zaheer bt Rana Liaquat-Amir 15-4, 15-6; Mudassar-Kashif bt Naeem-Irfan 15-13, 15-10; Amir Asghar bt Irfan 15-13, 15-8).

Veterans singles final: Rana Liaquat bt Sajid 15-11, 15-13.

Veterans Doubles final: Rana Liaquat-Sajjad bt Saghir Hussain-Zaheer 15-7, 15-6.

Boys under-20 final: Waqas bt Rana Babar 15-11, 11-15, 15-1.

Men's doubles semifinal: Sajjad-Aftab bt Amir Liaquat-Mohsin 17-6, 15-12; Hassan-Zaheer bt Amir-Kashif 15-12, 15-8.

Men's singles semifinals: Mudassar bt Sajjad 15-11, 15-12; Hassan Raza bt Amir Abbas 15-8, 15-11.
