MUZAFFARGARH: The Khangarh police have recovered a youth from Multan who allegedly staged his own kidnap for ransom to get money from his parents.

The youth was calling his parents to pay a ransom of RS 150,000 and get him released. On the request of his parents, the Khangarh police recovered the youth with the help of information technology.

As per police sources, Rabnawaz Mohana, a resident of Long village complained to Khangarh police, that his son Mukhtiar Hussain has been “kidnapped”.

The father said he has been receiving calls for the past few days from the “kidnappers” to pay Rs150,000 ransom for his son’s release.

Acting on the complaint, the police formed a team to recover the youth.

With the help of information technology, a police team headed by Sub-Inspector Sajjad, recovered the youth from Multan.

The youth confessed that he had staged his own kidnapping to get money from his parents to pay his debt.

The police are investigating into the matter.
