KARACHI: Mushtaq Ahmed’s brilliant pace bowling helped Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) secure a dramatic 29-run win over Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) in their seventh-round match of the President’s Trophy Grade-1 here at the UBL Sports Complex on Saturday.

Chasing 230, KRL in a stunning twist lost seven wickets for 35 runs to get dismissed for 200 in 62.1 overs. Mushtaq claimed six wickets for 82 from 23 overs which gave him brilliant match figures of 9-136, while Mohammad Umar took 4-62.

Ghani Glass defeated SNGPL by five wickets at the SBP Sports Complex. Ghani Glass achieved the 176-run target in 35.2 overs as Sharjeel Khan top-scored with a 53-ball 57.

At the NBP Sports Complex, the game between Wapda and Eshaal Associated ended in a draw.Eyeing a 368-run target, Eshaal Associates ended the match at 195-4 in 62 overs. Opener Mohammad Sudais cracked 56 while Danish Aziz returned undefeated on 50. Published in Dawn, February 16th, 2025
