NAWABSHAH, Feb 5: A man was killed and another was seriously injured in an ‘encounter’ with police near the Sukhio Sher village, Jam Saheb, the other day.

The Jam Saheb police during routine checking near the Ali Khan Chandio village asked two motorcyclists to stop but they did not. Police started chasing them.

Near the Sukhio Sher village, their motorcycle slipped. They started firing on the police. The police retaliated as a result of which both were injured.

The two were identified as Rano Sher and Aziz Sher.

Both were taken to the PMCH where doctors pronounced Mr Aziz dead, while Mr Rano’s state is said to be critical.

However, their family members told newsmen that both were innocent.

They said they were stopped by the police and were asked to show their documents including the license. As they did not have a license, the police started arguing with them. They then took both into custody. After sometime a fake encounter was staged in which one was killed and another injured.
