KARACHI: The body of a teenage boy, who went missing on Jan 15, was found in a mangrove forest in the Machhar Colony area on Friday, police said.

DIG-South Syed Asad Raza told Dawn that 16-year-old Mohammed Sameer was found shot dead at around 11am near the seashore.

The corpse was shifted to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities. Police surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed said the victim had suffered two bullet wound in the head.

Victim Sameer had been reported missing for the past three days. According to initial information, he had gone to work to the fisheries area but did not return home, said the DIG.
