Busy Actor

It seems that Fawad Khan is the busiest Pakistani actor these days. After the news going viral that he’s doing an Indian film with Vani Kapoor as his love interest, reports now say that he’s acting in two more projects, one of which is Behind the Scenes, a newsroom drama executive-produced by documentary filmmaker Mohammad Ali Naqvi. The other is a movie adaptation of policeman Omer Shahid Hamid’s bestselling novel The Prisoner,which is about the violence in Karachi in the 1990s. This means that, in the former, Fawad K will bring the news to the public and, in the latter, he himself will become the news.

Message For K-Jo

Last week, we mentioned Indian director/producer Karan Johar’s reference to Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s version of the song Tauba Tauba. Apparently, it has made the social media figure (we’re talking about Chahat F K here) so happy that he has sent the following message on Instagram to K-Jo: “It’s my wish to work in your film, and I want to tell you that I will work for free. If you have confidence, let it be like Chahat’s, or don’t have it at all.” Well, we think we know the producer/director’s answer: not even for free.

Immorality Bites

Model and television host Mathira has always been known for her no-holds-barred attitude to showbiz and devil-may-care attitude in front of the idiot box. So when she raises concerns about ‘immorality’, you scratch your head and… scratch more. In an interview, she has been quoted to have said that the country has become “advanced”, which is the reason for the rise in immorality, with specific reference to “improper relationships.” Well, Mathira, it seems that you know something about some famous people that we don’t.

Fling Times?

Bollywood A-lister Kajol has hopped on to the ‘times have changed’ bandwagon as well. She starred in one of the most commercially successful films in the history of Indian cinema, the smash-hit rom-com Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), alongside Shah Rukh Khan. But she thinks the film could not have been made today because, in 2024, the DDLJ pair would only have a ‘fling’. To be honest, in the film as well, it was a fling for the longest period too, wasn’t it?

It’s only been a couple of weeks since singer Liam Payne died after falling off a hotel building in Buenos Aires and shook all those who love music. His girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, has opened up about her feelings for him on Instagram, which has broken many a heart. Among other things, she writes, “A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together. I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, ‘Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged and together forever.’” What a truly sad story.

Academy award winner Leonardo DiCaprio isn’t cautious about his affair with the 26-year-old Italian model Vittoria Caretti anymore. The two were spotted in a New York street, hand in hand, having a casual, lovey-dovey moment. Although the 49-year-old Leo DC tried to disguise his appearance by wearing a baseball cap and a face mask, people could tell which celebrity couple was walking on the busy street. Once he sensed that they’d been seen by a lot of people, Leo DC quickly moved himself and his latest lady love into their car. Just like a wolf on Wall Street.
