PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday approved a summary for the elevation of an adviser and a special assistant to the chief minister.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had sent the summary to the governor for approval.

The summary was regarding the elevation of adviser to the chief minister on sports and youth affairs Syed Fakhar Jehan to minister, and special assistant to chief minister on anti-corruption Brig retired Mohammad Mussadiq Abbasi to the adviser.

The governor approved the summary with remarks that the chief minister first de-notify previous positions before their elevation.

“The proposal outlined in para-3 of the summary by the chief minister is approved. However, it may be noted that in order to comply with the provisions of the Constitution, summary for appointment of any further adviser may only be sent after de-notification of the already appointed adviser,” reads the summary.
