TOBA TEK SINGH: A woman poisoned her two daughters in the Sindhillianwali area of Pirmahal tehsil’s Chak 748-GB on Monday.

According to Arrouti police, Amna Bibi had a quarrel with her husband, Ghulam Shabbir Jabboana, and her in-laws over a domestic issue on Sunday. Later that night, she gave poisoned milk to her daughters -- Anaam Bibi (12) and Misbah Bibi (8).

When their condition worsened, they were taken to Toba DHQ Hospital, from where doctors referred them to Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital. Sadly, both girls died on Monday.

The police registered a murder case against Amna on a complaint from her husband and arrested her.

ACCIDENT: Eight passengers were injured after a van collided with a tractor-trolley near the Makkuana Bypass Road in Khurrianwala, Faisalabad, according to Rescue 1122.

The accident occurred when the van driver was attempting to overtake the tractor-trolley.

The injured were taken to Allied and DHQ hospitals for treatment. They were identified as Abdul Jabbar (40), Haq Nawaz (32), Awais Arif (30), Sajjad Aslam (45), Raheel Ahmad (51), Tufail Khurshid (67) and Zeeshan Liaqat (25).
