Revival of pension committee ordered

LAHORE, Feb 4: The Punjab accountant general has decided to reactivate the Pension Cases Disposal Committee to expedite disposal of the pension cases of government employees.

The decision to reactivate the committee was taken here on Monday at a meeting of the Review Committee presided over by AG Wazir Ahmad Qureshi at his office. The AG also decided to himself attend the PCDC meetings at the district level.

The PCDC reactivation is expected to remove the bottlenecks and delays in the disposal of pension cases.

The first such meeting is scheduled to be held at Faisalabad on Feb 16.
