KARACHI, March 28: Seven vessels carrying containers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Thor Mercury, An Yue Jiang to unload and load general cargo, MOL Accord and Song Yun He, to offload and load containers and Sunniva to offload oil were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included Tai He, Kota Jasa, Banglar Moon and Al-Marwah, while Banglar Mamamta, Chitral, Resita, Corin Thaikos, Mol Accord and Thor Mercury are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow where the total tonnage fell to 39,658 tons comprising 17,088 tons of export cargo including 2,212 tons of rice and 22,570 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Hyundai Future, Iran Shahryar, Kota Wangasa, Orient Independence, Juo Hung and Y.M. Star, with containers and Bagat Blue, with general cargo.
