LAHORE: The Punjab government on Tuesday transferred prosecution department secretary Usman Anwar.

He had been working as the secretary for the last one year.

During his tenure, he transferred over 100 prosecutors for their unsatisfactory performance.

The Lahore High Court later suspended the transfer of the women prosecutors.

The government transferred the secretary and directed him to report to the Services and General Administration Department. The National Accountability Bureau had declared him innocent in a case Punjab Sports Festival.
