ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has taken serious exception to the virulent propaganda attacks being made by All India Radio … a Foreign Office spokesman said here today [July 29]. He disclosed that Mr Agha Shahi, Foreign Secretary, had written to his Indian counterpart, Mr Kewal Singh, drawing his attention to the vituperative attacks of All-India Radio against Pakistan, and pointing out that such propaganda could only further vitiate the atmosphere for the resumption of normalisation of talks… .

It may be added that All-India Radio has been broadcasting news items and commentaries aimed at the instigation and promotion of activities against the independence and integrity of Pakistan. While confident that the people of Pakistan are immune to Indian subversive propaganda in view of the history of Indian hostility towards Pakistan, the spokesman said it was nevertheless regrettable that once again India was going back on its solemn pledge in the Simla Agreement to cease such propaganda.
