RAWALPINDI: A man committed suicide by jumping from the Metro Bus track near Committee Chowk on Monday night, police said.

Mohammad Zaheer, 34, a resident of Waris Khan, jumped from the Committee Chowk Metro Bus Station into the underpass which resulted in his instant death.

The police reached the spot and shifted the body to Benazir Bhutto Hospital.

They said the motive behind the suicide was yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, a man was robbed of his motorcycle and cash by three unidentified robbers in the limits of Naseerabad, police said on Tuesday.

Abdul Hameed, a resident of Chak Jalal Deen, complained to the police that he was on his way home on his motorcycle when he was intercepted by three gunmen who threatened him and forced him to give up the motorcycle and Rs40,000 cash.
