KARACHI, March 24: The ninth convocation of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) will be held on April 1 at its campus at 10am. Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry will be the chief guest, whereas Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan will preside over the convocation.

Students qualified in different disciplines will be awarded bachelor’s degrees. In addition to this, eight students will receive master’s degree in electronics engineering and computer engineering.

Position-holders will be decorated medals by the chief guest. Apart from it, students securing highest marks in engineering mathematics will be awarded Sir Shah Suleman gold medal, instituted by Barrister Shahida Jamil.—PPI
