KARACHI: Some parts of the city received drizzle/light rain on Monday, bringing brief respite from the hot and humid weather.
The Met department recorded the maximum rain in Surjani Town 0.7mm followed by Jinnah Terminal 0.6mm and University Road (Met Complex) 0.2mm.
‘Trace’ — an amount of precipitation less than 0.1mm — was recorded in old airport area, PAF Masroor Base, North Karachi, and Saadi Town.
The maximum temperature recorded was 37.3 degrees Celsius. Humidity recorded at 5pm was 60 per cent.
The department has forecast hot and humid, partly cloudy weather on Tuesday (today) with chances of drizzle in the evening or night.
The maximum temperature is expected to range between 37°C and 39°C.
